This OVA takes place about some time after the end of the TV anime. Kaoru and Kenshin are married, have a son, and have a uncurable disease. Kenshin has gone to the "Continent", and Kaoru is awaiting his return. After a while, she starts looking back on her life with Kenshin. (Contains scenes and part of the storyline that has not been animated, only seen in the manga.)
